It’s a marvelous Friday evening in Oslo and it feels like I’m in the middle of a balloon that is being filled up with more and more air, only to explode at any given moment.
By explode, I mean that I will experience new things, be in new places and get out of old patterns. It’s exciting, but scary at the same time.
Hence, I have decided to start a 30-day challenge to push my limits and have more courage to do new and exciting things.
I call it the Straight Outta Comfort Zone Challenge, which is exactly what the purpose of this challenge is.
To become more comfortable outside of my comfort zone and expand it.
I’m going out traveling by myself in 6 weeks, and that is a scary thing in itself. While I’m traveling, I want to get my business going and start creating content on a daily basis.
To do this, I know I need to start pushing my limits and exercise my brain into overcoming fears and get shiet done. 😉
When going against the stream and creating a lifestyle of your dreams, you need to be able to do things that are scary or feels uncomfortable. You have to work up your self-esteem and go through insecurities and fears.
Also, and this is important; the reward after finishing something that feels uncomfortable is priceless.
The feeling of fulfillment gives you a confidence boost like no other. With that, making decisions, ask for help, prioritize differently, create better habits etc becomes way easier.
I will do 1 thing every day that I’m not 100 % comfortable with, or that I’m scared of.
Some things might be small things like smiling at someone on the street, calling up an old friend, writing a blog post or taking a dance class. The important thing is that I do something once a day even if I feel nervous or insecure about it.
I will do this for 30 days and write down in my journal every day what I did, and the feeling that came after it. This way I can look back at the experience and notice the change.
I know this will help me to become more confident in everything that I do. This in return, will tighten the gap between my true potential and where I am today.
I encourage you to do take on the Straight Outta Comfort Zone challenge as well. If you don’t want to it every day, start by doing things even though you are insecure.
The more you do it you will notice how much easier things will be, and you will achieve much more than you ever thought possible.
A great way to get started if you feel scared or confused is to get someone to do it with you. This can be a friend, a family member, or a college. When having someone by your side, you can encourage and help each other to come up with tings to do to overcome your fears.
If you like this idea and want to do it as well, share this post with your friends to see who is in.
If you want to get suggestions for things you can do to become the superhuman you really are. Leave a comment.
Ps. Posting this and committing to the challenge is the first comfort mission. See ya on the other side 😉
